Baxter is a tri-colored approximately 18 month old BC that was pulled from a shelter in CT. He reacts to other dogs "in action" but is calm if another dog is just quietly sitting by. The shelter had blood work drawn and it did reveal a low T4 - a signal of hypothyroidism. A minute drop in thyroid levels can make a difference in a dog's personality! Our Arrow is this same way. We will see how he does as he receives his first 6 weeks of soloxine for this.
Baxter will have a full and thick and we presume gorgeous coat once it grows in. He was shaved for some reason! He loves to play with frisbee, jollyball, and to swim we discovered. We tested him out on skateboards and a bike and he did not exhibit any of the "wheel chasing" behavior that so many young BCs do. He will make a great pet for someone, we'll probably say no cats though, and we'll see how he does with other dogs as his blood levels return to normal.
